The art of using wire and rebar

The strength and durability of rebar rods is what make them so valuable for construction, but this also makes them difficult to work with

Do you remember the first time you fell in love? For me it was a girl named Grace, who was as different from me as could be. We were a real Romeo and Juliet type of couple. We lived across the tracks from one another, metaphorically speaking. She had money, my family had less than zero. She was gorgeous, refined, and artistic, while I was big, brutish, and intellectually limited. We had a short but intense relationship that ended when she moved away to go to art school. I stayed here in our hometown and started working for a local contractor. That was a decade ago, and now I am talking to Grace again. She needs rebar rods and wire ties for her latest and greatest art installation, and I am hoping to rekindle the old flame. Grace has done her research, and knows precisely how much rebar and how much forming wire she needs to craft the base of her sculpture. It will be massive in scope, over 15 feet tall, but she has calculated how many tie wire coils she will need, as well. What Grace hasn’t accounted for is how difficult it is to manipulate rebar and wire ties into the shape you need. The strength and durability of rebar rods is what make them so valuable for construction, but this also makes them difficult to work with. I will easily be able to get her as many rebar rods, wire ties, and spools of forming wire as she needs, and I will also offer to help her on the initial phase of her sculpture.
